Description
In the sweltering summer of 1951, New York City echoes with the untold stories of its inhabitants. Among them is Barbara Langley, a resilient woman trapped in a life of torment at the hands of her powerful lawyer husband, Gabe Langley. Her world, already shadowed by abuse, takes a turn when she flees to her mother’s mansion, seeking refuge. Her mother, Edith, then sends her to a remote cabin in British Columbia to spend the rest of the summer there only to encounter a greater evil that wants her family’s property, which he deems sacred. Will Barbara give in to his demands?
